OLD TOWN

​

The Benidorm Old Town is situated aside the promontory that separates the two Benidorm beaches. The Cerro Canfali headland that is veined by narrow lanes and alleys, converges in the light-filled Balcón del Mediterráneo belvedere, whitewashed and decorated with blue tiles, an ornamental motif repeated along the balustrade that graces stretches of the seafront of Benidorm..

The Balcon del Mediterraneo is situated on top of the rock separating the two beaches of Benidorm was the fortress built to defend the people from the algerian pirates raids during the centuries XIV, XV and XVI..

Benidorm San Jaime Church (Iglesia de San Jaime y Santa Ana)

​

San Jaime Church a blue-tiled domed roof of the 18th century Parish church. It is dedicated to the patron saint of Benidorm and is set at the very top of the Old Town on a hill called Canfali. Visitors may seea statue of the Virgen del Sufragio inside the church, the well-loved patron saint of Benidorm.

GUADALEST

Guadalest is your day out destination. Near the rock formations that surround the area – there is a Moorish castle to explore, and and the ancient bell tower Penon de la Alcala. Just 25 kilometers inland from your holiday rental home in Benidorm, and situated on the mountains, it is very picturesque with stunning views. .

Just 200 residents inhabit this lovely place, but worth remembering is that Guadalest is the most visited place in Spain –  after the Prado museum in Madrid – so an early Spring visit might be preferable to one on a hot Saturday in August!

BENIDORM TOWN HALL

At the entrance to the L'Aiguera Park stands a very different monument which greets the visitors; The new Town Hall, colloquially known as the ‘floorscraper’. The unique structure has aroused the interest of many architects and a lot of people come to visit it. The building is like a bridge which acts as a doorway to the green zone L'Aiguera Park.

TOSSAL DE LA CALA (IBERIC REMAINS)

El Tossal de La Cala is an Iberian settlement and one of the nicest cultural sights of Benidorm. It is located at the far end of Poniente beach in Benidorm. The surrounding hill at the end of Benidorm bay was settled in the late Iberian period between 3rd to 1st Century B.C.

La Marina Shopping Centre first opened on 14th September 2000 and consists of four floors: one underground floor offering completely free parking, two shopping floors and one leisure and foodservice floor. On this top floor, in addition to restaurants, a cinema and a bowling alley, there are also 4000m2 of fun attractions for children (including bouncy castles, mini golf, an assault course, karts and  a princess’s castle).
